Host Families

Would you like to be a part of the Walter Johnson League Baseball Family?

We are not just baseball teams, we are a community of families.  The community is what makes Walter Johnson League a family.  These teams exists only through continued support of our communities, contributors, advertisers and the efforts of our volunteers.

Do you love Baseball?

Are you interested in having an impact on a young man's life and possibly his professional career?
If so, you may be perfect as a Host Parent and a Host Family.  Each year many young men move to our area for the summer to play for the Walter Johnson League.  From June through August these young, aspiring ballplayers hone their baseball skills by playing approximately 42 games, in 2 tournaments and a chance to play in the NBC World Series.  Players come from all over the United States to participate in the Walter Johnson League teams across Kansas.

Historically, the Walter Johnson League "host family program" has become a vital part of each team's success both on and off the field.  Having our player's become part of a local family helps these young men secure a sense of normalcy in a strange new city and state.  Many of the player's become more than a guest, they actually become part of the family.

Here's the Pitch!
1.  You provide a home, food and a bed for player(s) during the summer season.
2.  Your family receives free admission to home regular season games.
3.  You have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the future of a young man.
4.  You may be getting to know a future Major League Baseball player.

Host a Baseball Player!  Experience Memories that last a lifetime!
